United for the Kingdom: Building Tribes

At The Underground, our mission is simple yet profound: uniting believers and building tribes to advance the Kingdom of God. But what does that really mean? How does unity among believers ignite faith, drive transformation, and proclaim the Gospel? Let’s take a deeper dive into this calling, explore its biblical foundation, and unpack how we, as the Body of Christ, can boldly live out our faith.

Why Unity Matters in the Body of Christ

Unity is central to God’s design for His people. The Bible is clear that the Church—made up of many members—is one body, working together to reflect the fullness of Christ to the world.

“There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”(Ephesians 4:4-6)
“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!” (Psalm 133:1)

When believers come together in unity, we amplify our strength, our faith, and our witness. Unity doesn’t mean uniformity; it means bringing our unique gifts, talents, and callings together under the Lordship of Jesus to accomplish His will on earth. It’s through unity that we become an unstoppable force for the Kingdom.

Igniting Faith that Drives Bold Action

At The Underground, we believe that uniting believers should do more than just bring us together—it should ignite faith that moves us to action. Faith is not passive; it’s alive and active.

“Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works.” (Hebrews 10:24)

When we gather as believers, whether in small groups, tribes, or large assemblies, we stir each other to live out our faith boldly. This kind of faith is contagious. It drives us to step out of our comfort zones, proclaim the Gospel, and serve those in need. Together, we inspire one another to live as Christ’s ambassadors, lighting up the world with His truth and love.

What We Mean by Building Tribes

The term “tribe” might sound unfamiliar in a ministry context, but at The Underground, it’s foundational. Tribes are groups of believers united in purpose, faith, and action. They are families of faith—not bound by blood but by a shared mission to advance the Kingdom of God.

“So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.” (Romans 12:5)

Tribes are where discipleship happens. They’re where encouragement flows, where accountability is upheld, and where believers rally together to impact their communities. These tribes are not just focused inwardly; they’re mission-driven, serving to spread the Gospel and transform lives.

Serving Alongside Brothers and Sisters in Christ

Ministry is not a solo endeavor. Throughout Scripture, we see God calling His people to serve together. Paul reminds us:

“For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building.” (1 Corinthians 3:9)

Serving alongside other believers creates an environment where faith can grow and where the Gospel can be proclaimed with greater reach and impact. Whether it’s through local missions in prisons and nursing homes or international efforts in Uganda, Pakistan, and the underground churches of Asia, we’re united by one goal: to proclaim Christ and bring hope.

Advancing the Kingdom with Hope and Transformation

Ultimately, uniting believers and building tribes is about advancing God’s Kingdom on earth. It’s about seeking His will and bringing His hope to the hopeless. Jesus taught us:

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”(Matthew 6:33)

When we prioritize the Kingdom, we become vessels of transformation. We proclaim the Gospel to the lost, bring healing to the broken, and see lives renewed by the power of Christ. This is the heart of The Underground.

Be Part of the Lifestyle

We’re not inviting you to join another movement. We’re inviting you into a lifestyle—a way of loving God and living out His Word daily. Being part of The Underground is more than physical participation in a tribe; it’s about taking on a mindset and a heart posture that seeks to become Christ-like in all we do and are called to do.

As believers, we’re not called to walk this journey alone. We’re called to unite, to build, and to serve—together. Through unity, we ignite faith. Through faith, we inspire bold action. And through action, we advance the Kingdom.
