Uganda Missions Trip 2024

Our first mission to Uganda marked the beginning of a relationship that would grow far beyond a single trip. We preached the Gospel in villages, ministered to children and families, and served alongside local leaders—planting seeds that would eventually become a lasting part of The Underground’s mission.

THE STORY

In July 2024, The Underground traveled to Uganda for the first time with a simple desire: to go where God opened the door and share the hope of Jesus Christ.

Our team traveled into local villages, preaching the Gospel, praying with individuals and families, and serving alongside pastors and ministry leaders. We also held a children’s crusade, creating a space where children could gather, hear the Gospel, worship, pray, and experience the love of Christ. What began as a mission trip became the beginning of something much deeper.

As we spent time with people in the communities, we began to see both the strength that was already present and the challenges families faced every day. We met children, widows, pastors, leaders, and families whose stories stayed with us long after the trip ended. Uganda was no longer simply a place we had traveled to preach—it became a place where relationships were forming and where we knew we wanted to continue serving.

That first trip helped shape the way The Underground approaches missions today: sharing the Gospel, building genuine relationships, strengthening local leaders, and remaining present long enough to understand how we can serve alongside communities beyond the moment of a mission trip.

We could not have known in July 2024 everything that would eventually grow from those first steps in Uganda. But looking back, we can see that this trip was the beginning of a much larger story.
